Tobacco is the principal, source of income for 25 thousand families including five thousand indigenous in the state of Nayarit, where each family receives between 1,600 and 2,500 pesos a week, which for small farmers in Mexico could be considered a decent living. 23 percent of the population of Mexico smokes, however, so that for the moment at least the threat is not major. |
