| Attorneys for California made the argument in court papers filed Friday, as part of three consolidated suits scheduled to go to trial Feb. 25 in San Diego County Superior Court. The state is seeking a court order that would require tobacco companies to pay for television, radio and newspaper ads warning of health risks to non-smokers from secondhand smoke. The state also wants tobacco companies to acknowledge the risks in letters to physicians and nurses throughout the state. |
