The law firm that helped the state reach a $6.6 billion settlement with the tobacco industry was the most profitable law firm in the United States last year, according to a survey compiled by American Lawyer magazine.
Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi's partners earned an average of $3.57 million, according to the magazine's calculations.
