Punch Cigars
Genuine Habanos Punch cigars from Cuba. The Punch brand was first registered in 1840 by German named Stockmann, with the name derived from the half of the Punch and Judy puppet shows, and the character, Mr. Punch.
Punch cigars are world renowned, and classic, skillfully and expertly handmade in beautiful Honduras with roots that trace back all the way to 1969 from Cuban-seed tobaccos that were grown in Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Honduras.
The brand quickly became a success, especially in Great Britain. The first change of ownership came in 1874, when the brand was bought by a Luis Corujo, and again in 1884, when the brand was purchased by Manuel López Fernández and its bands and boxes still bear his name to this day.
As popular as ever, Punch cigars have a unique medium to full bodied aroma that stems from a diverse blend of Cuban seed tobacco fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Honduras. The natural wrapper is grown in Ecuador and lends to the strength of this cigar. The maduro and double maduro versions utilize a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper to give it a dark and smooth taste.
Punch cigars are characterized as being medium-bodied, plesantly sweet-spicy and enhanced by traces of nuts, vanilla and tangy flavors of earth and fruit or wood. depending on the vitola. A pronounced woody aftertaste provides excellent balance to the texture.
